Foster homes are urgently needed!
We are faced with the reality of having to turn away Dobermans and we desperately need your help. There are dogs we cannot help because we simply do not have enough foster homes. Before you decide that fostering isn't for you PLEASE take a moment and check out our Spring Newsletter, it contains facts about fostering you may not have realized and testimonials from those of us that do foster. PLEASE NOTE: That while everyone is encouraged to attend and meet our wonderful Dobes, you must be an approved adopter before you can take your new Dobe home with you. The first step in becoming an approved adopter is completing our Adoption Application. And even if you can't attend you can still help by spreading the word. ALLTEL HELPS FEED DOBE STEREOTYPES. Arkansas-based Alltel Corporation just launched a television campaign that negatively portrays the Doberman Pinscher. In response to complaints from numerous advocates for the breed, including the president of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, Alltel distributed various versions of the following message:

"Thank you for writing to express your concern about Alltel's new TV spot that includes a Doberman Pinscher. The Doberman Pinscher in our ad is a well-behaved animal actor playing a fictional role, just as human actors often play roles that are opposite their true personalities. We are not suggesting that Doberman Pinschers are a vicious breed."
